I am Carolina and I am 24 years old. At the age of 19 I received my degree in Culinary Arts, something that has interested me from a very young age. I am married to a wonderful man, and am a mother of four (do not be alarmed, its 2 dogs and 2 cats). There are many things I enjoy doing and am always looking for a better way to get them done, or fresh new ideas to experiment with.
As a wife we carry many roles and have responsibilities. We sometimes do things because we have to, and lose the joy that those activities once brought us. We cook, we clean, we care for our children, our husband and after all that we try and make a little time for ourselves. Colorful Housewives understands life can sometimes be overwhelming and drab, and its main goal is to brighten it back up.
When you hear the word housewife the first things that pop in your mind are not necessarily good. You imagine a woman in curlers and a bathrobe vacuuming while running after a toddler, but it does not have to be that way. I am determined to bring glamour, elegance and fun back into “Housewife” all in the simplest ways possible.
One of my passions is cooking, so much so that I made it my primary way to make a living. I know that as a wife sometimes there is no time, and cooking becomes a chore. Cooking can be therapeutic, fun and always brings people together. Whether you are cooking for 2 or 20 I have plenty of recipes and easy tips to make your cooking pleasurable and exciting. Information on outdoor entertaining, seasonal decorating and the 411 on great restaurants to try out with girlfriends or that special someone in your life.
As mentioned I am a mother of four 2 dogs and 2 cats. No kids yet (sorry mom and mom-in-law). For now my babies are more than enough, I love them very much. They are very smart and loving animals which makes it easy for everyone to spoil them rotten. The dogs are Chiquis and Big Time, the cats are Olive and Major Payne. I know what you’re thinking, and to clear things up my husband named them. They are such an important part of my life that I am always looking for better ways to care for them. The best vets, food, products and toys to make sure they feel as loved by me as I do by them.
I have many titles, and wife is one of the best; why not be the best you can be. With that said being a real housewife does not mean you forget about yourself, your dreams and aspirations. There are a number of things I am planning on for myself, one of them is to further my education. I know it will be tough on time, but I have a loving husband that supports me every step of the way just like I do him.
So remember what Colorful Housewives is all about. A blog full of fun, interesting info on how to bring color back into the much dreaded word “Housewife”!
