Fun Recipes For Kids At Colorful Housewives

The first recipes for kids that you can try should be easy ones that require little or no heat.  All kids should be introduced to the basics of cooking and baking while they are still young and wishing to learn.

In the past couple of months I have been traveling to and fro to take care of some family business.  In doing so, I have spent quite a while in my home town of Los Mochis, Mexico.  It is actually a modern, growing city rich in culture and amazing food.  Everywhere you look there are restaurants, food stands and a sea of motorcycle delivery guys.  Great food is definitely one of the draws to keeps me coming back.

Find some fun recipes for kids and get them baking and cooking early.  If you encourage children to work with food they are more likely to eat better and grow up with better eating habits.

Like most women, I have a major sweet tooth and am absolutely helpless in front of any dessert.  One of my all time favorites has been mosaic jello.  I know, its kind of odd, but who doesn’t like jello?  And this recipe takes it to a whole other level.  It is a simple and quick dessert recipe; and very affordable to make.  As a matter of fact, at one of our beloved major stores it is sold over six times more expensive made than to make it yourself.  It can be perfect for your child’s next birthday party instead of ice cream and can even be color coordinated!

All in all, recipes for kids are great for fun and learning.  Baking recipes are great for learning simple math as well, and of course, they have to do their best to learn new words while reading recipes.
